A Single Man (dir. Tom Ford)
A Single Man is based on the novel by Christopher Isherwood tells a day in the life of a British professor, George Falconer living in California in the sixties. After his long-time lover´s disappearance in an accident it is his struggle to find meaning in his life after the death. He is consoled by his closest friend Charley, a 48-year-old beauty, and is stalked by one of his students, Kenny. The film stars Collin Firth, Julianne Moore, Matthew Goode, Nicholas Hoult, and Jon Kortajarena.
Btw, Colin Firth won best actor at the Venice Film Festival for his role as George Falconer... looks promising.

Rant Against a Boring Fashion Story
I was reading a fashion story in a local newspaper, and felt completely outraged right before bed. Here is my comment on the article in case the moderator doesn't approve it.
"This is nothing more than a fashion story written for the masses, and in that sense - it's well done. However, this article is hardly "news", as news is new and these shows happened months ago. It may seem inappropriate to write about the SS10 shows that are wrapping up in New York this very second because it is fall, but if The Gazette is going to include a fashion story don't you think it should be up to date?
Once again, for those who do not follow the industry I suppose this is a great story, but for those who do it just shows how all these suburban "fashionistas" murder their outfits.
Reader beware: do not take advice from this piece unless you actually know what you are doing. It is all too transparent when you don't.
People shouldn't follow trends, they should follow their hearts and be comfortable in the clothes their in. Don't buy something cause an article tells you it's cool.
Peace and love."
Just so you guys don't think I was being too harsh.... the article tells all the lovely ladies of Montreal not to leave home without their boyfriend jacket.
What the hell is a boyfriend jacket?

NEW OBSESSION: Boris Bidjan Saberi

So, I walked into Reborn (231 St-Paul West, Montreal) and made a wonderful discovery slash found a new obsession....

Barcelona based designer Boris Bidjan Saberi makes me melt. From leather bags, to jackets, pants, and oversized hoodies with leather ties - the whole collection seems to speak to me in this weird way. Kind of whispering "buy me buy me" yet not so obviously.

The excellent craftsmanship and stunning-apocalyptic-distressed type designs a la Rick Owens is a major plus.

Below is his most recent show, SS10 presented in Barcelona.
Although not on the website yet, check out http://reborn.ws/ soon for updates!
